LEAD ARCHITECT - SEMICONDUCTOR INDUSTRY

- Working Hours: 5 days per week (Mon to Fri: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM)

Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate architectural, structural, MEP, and process utility designs for semiconductor fabrication facilities
- Act as the central design interface between architect, engineering consultants, equipment vendors, and construction teams
- Ensure cleanroom layout compliance with ISO classifications, vibration, AMC, temperature, and humidity requirements
- Coordinate tool layout, tool hook-up requirements, and maintenance access with process equipment vendors
- Manage BIM-based design coordination and resolve multidisciplinary clashes
- Translate design intent into constructible design packages for site execution
- Support construction sequencing for cleanroom build-up, MEP racks, and tool move-in activities
- Review and coordinate design drawings, shop drawings, RFIs, and technical submissions
- Manage design changes to minimize impact on cost, schedule, and tool installation milestones
- Resolve design issues arising from site conditions during construction
- Chair design coordination meetings and technical reviews
- Ensure alignment between client requirements, design intent, and construction execution
- Maintain design documentation control throughout the project lifecycle
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or related built environment discipline
- Minimum 6 years of experience in semiconductor fab, cleanroom, or advanced manufacturing construction projects
- Strong knowledge of cleanroom design principles and semiconductor facility requirements
- Proven experience coordinating architectural, structural, MEP, and process utility designs
- Familiarity with semiconductor process tools and vendor coordination
- Experience in design-build or EPC project environments
- Proficient in BIM coordination tools (Revit, Navisworks or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and constructability
- Ability to manage design changes, RFIs, and technical clarifications during construction
- Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working with main contractors, consultants, and equipment vendors
- Professional Architect registration is an advantage but not mandatory
- Proficiency in Chinese is preferred to support communication with regional or group stakeholders
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast paced and dynamic environment
