Medical Instrument Technician (Ultrasound)

About the Position: This position is located at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Perform a variety of routine ultrasound examinations to aid health care providers in the diagnosis and treatment of disease or injury.

Identify medically significant aspects of the sonogram to the radiologist or other staff physicians.

Assist radiologist with basic ultrasound-guided procedures.

Perform operator maintenance on ultrasound equipment as required.

Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
