Medical Technician

About the Position: This position is located at Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma Washington. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Works under the general supervision of the Pathology Support Services Supervisor who provides initial guidance on area of responsibility and priorities.

Independently performs a wide variety of specimen collection, processing and shipping in accordance with the College of American Pathologists (CAP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), manufacturer's instructions and technical references.

Receives and processes specimens from all areas within Madigan Army Medical Center, Decentralized Labs, other DoD Laboratories and contracted civilian health care providers.
