System Management: Design, deploy, configure, and maintain OSS platforms for network monitoring, fault management, performance management, and service assurance.
Integration: Integrate various network elements and IT systems with OSS solutions to create a unified operational view.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to OSS applications, databases, and underlying infrastructure.
Automation: Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline operational processes and improve efficiency.
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
Monitor and manage telecom OSS platforms (TeMIP, UCA, OpenNMS, UOC) to ensure 24/7 fault and event management operations.
Perform L2-level incident investigation, root cause analysis, and resolution for P2/P3/P4 incidents while meeting defined SLAs.
Conduct routine system health checks, process monitoring, trap testing, log collection, and diagnostics across OSS environments.
Manage alarm correlation, suppression, enrichment, and beautification to improve alarm quality and operational efficiency.
Support application upgrades, SSL certificate renewals, and configuration changes with minimal service impact.
Prepare and maintain SOPs, known issue documents, reports, and escalate recurring or critical issues to L3 teams until closure.
Must have skill:
4–6 years of hands-on experience in telecom/IT operations with strong exposure to OSS fault management systems.
Good working knowledge of TeMIP, including filters (Corrective, Tap, Transient, Threshold, Heap, Toggling) and Alarm Beautifier.
Experience with UCA for alarm correlation, missing alarm checks, RCA, and troubleshooting Valuepack services.
Solid understanding of OpenNMS device configuration, SNMP polling, event generation, MIB loading, and L2 issue resolution.
Good knowledge of Linux (command line, basic scripting, log analysis) and telecom alarm flow from EMS to NMS.
It would be nice if you have:
Familiarity with UOC, OSSM, EDB analysis, ETL/UTM processes, and SAP BO reporting/dashboard creation.
Understanding of SNMP, syslog, alarm deduplication, suppression, and rule-based correlation mechanisms.
Strong documentation, communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a rotational 24/7 support environment.
