Network Engineer L2 (Routing and Switching)
Job Summary
As a Network Professional L2 (Routing and Switching), you will manage and support network operations, incident resolution, and service requests to ensure secure, reliable network performance.
Responsibilities
- Support daily network operations by managing incidents, resolving problems, and restoring services efficiently
- Fulfill network service requests involving routing, switching, DNS, and static IP configurations following Change Management procedures
- Create and maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, diagrams, mappings, processes, and service records
- Assess, track, and manage advisories related to network device vulnerabilities, patches, and firmware upgrades
- Plan and apply security patches and firmware upgrades to network devices to maintain system integrity and security
Required competencies and certifications
- Hold a minimum CCNA certification in routing and switching, demonstrating foundational network expertise
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Possess a relevant Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Have at least 7 years of hands-on experience with network devices such as Cisco Nexus switches, Catalyst switches, ASR Routers, Infoblox, Networking Monitoring Tools, and Cisco DNAC
- Hold CCNP certification for advanced network proficiency
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills in fast-paced, complex environments
