Nurse (Clinical/Emergency Department)
About the Position: This position is located at Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon, Georgia. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a clinical nurse performing a variety of professional nursing and health services to patients of all ages. Work hour shifts range from 8 to 12 hours shifts and may range from 0700-1900, 1100-2300. This is an open continuous announcement. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.
Interview and takes medical histories, to acquire medically necessary information to assess physical and mental status of patient.
Perform triage, while considering both physical and psychosocial elements.
Observe, monitor, and assess patient's condition.
Teach, onboard, and mentor professional and paraprofessional nursing staff.
Conduct and participate in the development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of facility, departmental, or unit-based programs.
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting for urgent or emergent care.
Function as a charge nurse on a rotational basis and determines staffing requirement and effectively directs patient care and unit activity.
Independently react to emergencies, collaborate with physicians, make changes to nursing care plans and implement nursing care plans accordingly.
