OPERATIONS EXECUTIVE

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strong operational knowledge within Freight Forwarding covering Air, Ocean and Crosstrade.

  • This role supports day to day Ocean, Air and Road Freight operations

  • Shipment planning consists of Air, LCL, FCL, Breakbulk etc.

  • Haulage arrangements

  • Customs clearance declaration

  • Work closely with internal departments to coordinate customer’s shipments

  • Handling Import and Export shipments & documentation from A to Z

  • Build and maintain good rapport with customers to fulfill their requirements

  • Troubleshooting and attending to customer complaints/disputes.

  • Troubleshooting and attending to ministry/official authority.

  • Ensure all enquirers are responded to within the shortest possible time frame.

  • To obtain pricing and generate complete/competitive quotation base on customer’s requirements.

  • Follow up with customer, overseas agents and overseas offices on the quotation/proposal and negotiate to a closure.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Commercial on maintenance of customers.

  • Monitor billing and ensure timely invoicing.

  • Involvement in ad-hoc duties and assignments may be required from time to time.

  • Strong customer service mindset – Ability to engage and develop a reliable and long term relationship with customer, a comprehensive view and understanding of the business and looking out for growth, opportunity and improvement.
  • Highly analytical skills –Ability to review and envisage beyond the current situation to tap on opportunity for growth and improvement.
  • Multitasking – Ability to set priority for deliverance of assigned tasks in the pipeline within each deadline
  • Effective communication skills – Ability to deliver timely and clear information in appropriate presentation to achieve desired goals. To close up communication gaps.
  • Innovative – Ability to generate and develop out-of-box and alternative source/solution
  • Detailed and meticulous – To display and demonstrate precision and comprehensive think through action plan/solution and in delivering “Plan the Work and Work the Plan” concept.
  • Risk Management – Ability to identify potential risk and mitigate the risk and avoid occurrence and in compliance with the company policy
  • Singaporeans and Permanent Residents are preferred
  • Open to fresh graduates and candidates with preferably 2–3 years of relevant working experience
