Operations Finance Specialist
POSITION SUMMARY
The Operations Finance Specialist serves as a key financial partner to Operations and the Business Unit, this role is responsible for analyzing manufacturing costs, supporting inventory management, validating cost savings initiatives, and providing financial input to cross‑functional planning.
RESPONSIBILITIES
| Financial Analysis & Reporting |
| Support the development and execution of annual operating budget, and interim forecasts for the Operations function |
| Analyze manufacturing costs, including labor, overhead, scrap, rework, and material variances. |
| Prepare and explain monthly financial results, including actuals vs budget/forecast. |
| Identify cost drivers, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities. |
| Support month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals, journal entries, and variance analysis |
| Capital Expenditure (Capex) Management |
| Assist in the preparation, tracking, and forecasting of capital expenditure plans |
| Review and validate cost plans, ROI analyses, and business cases for capital and operational projects |
| Coordinate with Accounting for proper Cap/Opex classification and reclassification entries |
| Operations & BU Partnering |
| Act as Finance Business Partner to Operations and BU leadership. |
| Translate operational activities into financial impact for management visibility. |
| Support decision‑making related to volume changes, overtime, productivity initiatives, and resource allocation. |
| Cost Savings & Performance Improvement |
| Validate and track cost savings programs, including VAVE and productivity initiatives. |
| Ensure savings are accurately reflected in the financials and forecasts. |
| Monitor execution of improvement actions and report progress. |
| Revenue & Margin Support |
| Perform revenue leakage analysis to identify billing gaps, pricing issues, or unrecognized revenue. |

Support margin analysis by product, program, or customer.

QUALIFICATIONS
| Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting |
| 3–5 years of experience in Operations Finance, FP&A, or Manufacturing Finance. |
| Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret operational and financial data. |
| Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (Oracle Alice preferred) |
| Strong communication skills to explain financial results to non‑financial stakeholders. |
| Detail‑oriented, proactive, and results‑driven mindset. |
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting
Strong knowledge of manufacturing finance, cost accounting, and inventory management principles.
Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (Oracle Alice preferred)
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
