ORTHOTIST-PROSTHETIST

About the Position: This position is located at the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC) Germany, under the Director for Surgery, Department of Rehabilitation, Orthotics and Prosthetics. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Permanent Change of Station (PCS) is authorized.

Conduct patient assessments, interprets prescriptions, and performs gait and biomechanical evaluations.

Design, fabricates, fits, and adjusts orthotic and prosthetic devices using established techniques and materials.

Provide patient education and follow up care to ensure proper device use, comfort, and function.

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and assists with training activities for students and junior staff.

Support laboratory operations, including inventory management, compliance tasks, and basic administrative reporting.

Provide routine technical guidance, verifies device quality, and assists with workflow and process improvements.
