About the Position: This position is located at Fort Myer, VA - position is located in Family Medicine, candidate will provide patient care in a clinical setting. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Incentives MAY be authorized for highly qualified candidates

Obtain pertinent medical information from patient and/or family member to identify major complaints, symptoms and/or reason for seeking medical care.

Provide individual care to patient based on licensed practitioner medical care plan, such as, assisting with examinations, administering medications, visual acuity testing, and/or EKG's.

Provide education to patients and/or their family members on topics such as hospital policy, discharge planning, and follow up care.

Assist in upkeep of clinic operations to include performing tasks such as room change over, inventory of medical supplies, restocking rooms.

Utilize automated health care programs for tasks such as, entering patient medical information, ordering laboratory or radiology request.
