The Cardiology Section at VA Boston Healthcare System (VABHS), a major affiliate of Harvard Medical School and Boston University Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine, invites applications for a full-time non-invasive Cardiologist, with Level 3 Echocardiography training. The successful candidate will work in the echocardiography lab and in the general cardiology services at VABHS including ambulatory cardiology clinic and inpatient care. The position involves significant engagement in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows in both outpatient and inpatient settings. There will be leadership pathways and opportunities to develop clinical research and/or quality improvement programs within the Cardiology Section. Additional opportunities may be available to participate in formal undergraduate teaching at both Harvard Medical School and Boston University Medical School. The successful candidate must have Board Certification in Echocardiography and Cardiovascular Disease. Accomplishments should be commensurate with an academic appointment as Lecturer, Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. VABHS is a multi-campus tertiary care medical center that provides advanced cardiac care to Veterans from all over New England, providing a full range of cardiovascular services including cardiac surgery and structural heart interventions. VABHS is also a well-recognized institution nationally for medical education and innovative research activities.
