Practical Nurse (Outpatient)

About the Position: Position is located within the Dept. of Family Medicine at the Madigan Army Medical Center and the Madigan South Sound Community Medical Home, Olympia, WA. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Typical duty hours are Monday through Friday from 0730-1600.

Assists in performing and managing medical procedures, physical examinations, and treatments.

Utilizes electronic health record and information technology as effective communication and management tools to facilitate the patient experience and coordination.

Provides patient and family education tailored to specific medical conditions, treatment plans, and recovery goals.

Prepares patients for procedures, such as wound care, catheterizations, and respiratory therapies, under the guidance of a registered nurse or licensed medical practitioner.

Sets up necessary equipment and maintains sterile environments.

Ensures compliance with infection control protocols throughout all procedures.

Participates in team briefings and debriefings to foster a collaborative approach to patient care.
