Program Specialist

This position is located at the Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (GLAHS) in Los Angeles, California within the Office of Strategic, Facility and Master Planning. The Program Specialist will provide a full range of support functions in assisting in the formulation and development of organizational facility plans and is involved in the analysis of demography of the Southern California market area.

Develops and monitors business programs, plans, procedures, and methodologies analyzing business initiatives and processes. Has overall project responsibility for conducting facility-wide studies or projects to meet organizational objectives and customer needs, enhancing teamwork, and improving the organization's overall performance. Work with the facility leaderships to assure their input to business related projects. Analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness of programs or operations in meeting established goals and objectives. Participates in the formulation and development of a thorough, administrative, and strategic operational initiatives of the program Plans, organizes, trends and reviews request for resources within their assigned chain of command and make recommendations. Reviews policies and procedures that are in conformance with the overall philosophy of the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) related to all aspect of the healthcare programs. Review the program budget initiatives subsequent justifications and defends for the program. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
