Project Technician

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of solar systems, electrical vehicle chargers, and energy storage systems, including inspecting, testing, and repairing electrical components, updating software, and ensuring optimal system performance

  • Monitor and analyze system performance daily and identify issues or inefficiencies, taking necessary rectification actions to optimize system performance

  • Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations and effective communication, providing technical support and guidance to team members as needed

  • Maintain and update equipment logs, including maintenance schedules, repairs, and replacements, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition and properly documented

  • Travel to sites for systems installation, maintenance, and repairs

  • Respond promptly to system failures or issues, ensuring minimal downtime, and develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to optimize system performance

  • Conduct quality control checks on projects completed by subcontractors, ensuring compliance with company standards and specifications

  • Coordinate the delivery of equipment and materials to project sites, ensuring timely and accurate delivery

  • Source and procure necessary equipment and materials from suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely availability

Requirements

  • Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in a related field.

  • Preferably with at least 2 years of experience working with solar systems, electrical vehicle chargers, or energy storage systems.

  • Must be able to work at heights, including climbing ladders and accessing rooftops.

  • Those with safety and engineering certifications or qualifications and those with their own transport will have an added advantage.
