Senior BIM Technician - Land Development & Municipal Engineering
WSP is seeking a Senior BIM Technician to join the Land Development and Municipal Engineering (LDME) team in Bengaluru. Reporting to the Principal BIM Technician, the role involves applying advanced AutoCAD and Civil 3D expertise across the full project lifecycle, from conceptual design to detailed construction documentation.
The position primarily focuses on delivering lot grading plans for commercial and industrial developments, including stormwater management and municipal service design drawings such as storm, sewer, water, and drainage utilities, along with associated roadway and parking layout designs.
Key responsibilities include grading design, preparation of high-quality engineering drawings, and development of pipe network models for sanitary, storm, and water systems. The role also ensures compliance with established CAD/BIM standards and quality requirements, producing accurate and efficient deliverables using Civil 3D under senior-level guidance.
Lead the preparation of water main and piping layout drawings, including plan and profile drawings, in compliance with established CAD and BIM standards.
Develop and review drawings ranging from conceptual sketches to detailed construction documentation using Autodesk Civil 3D (pipe networks, profiles, alignments, assemblies, sub-assemblies, 3D feature lines, and grading groups), ensuring high quality, accuracy, and consistency.
Ensure all deliverables comply with client drafting standards, project specifications, and quality assurance requirements.
Coordinate and execute BIM/CAD activities in collaboration with BIM/CAD Coordinators, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, supporting skill development and adherence to best practices.
Manage and prioritize assigned tasks, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high-quality standards.
Adapt to diverse project standards, client requirements, and international codes, delivering drawings in accordance with specified guidelines.
Support engineering teams in drafting and modeling for roads, parking lots, storm and sanitary sewer systems, water mains, grading, and 3D modeling deliverables.
Perform QA/QC reviews of drawings and BIM models to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
Continuously enhance technical expertise by staying updated with the latest industry practices, tools, and BIM standards.
Demonstrate proficiency in Revit MEP; knowledge of HVAC and electrical modeling is considered an added advantage.

8–12 years of hands-on experience in AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D design and drafting.
Strong team player with a demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality drawings, including thorough self-checking for accuracy and compliance with standards.
Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict project deadlines.
