Senior Consultant - Future Mobility
Due to our expanding public and private sector workload, we are looking for an enthusiastic and inquisitive Senior Consultant to join the WSP Future of Mobility team, which is part of our Transport Planning business. You will work alongside a virtual team of individuals within India and the UK.
As a Senior Consultant you can expect to be active on several projects at any given time. Your work may cover a variety of areas of expertise. You will report to a senior member of our team with expected day-to-day tasks that include the following:
- Providing day-to-day support in the delivery of a range of projects, which at any one time could include research programmes, strategy development, and business case studies
- Taking responsibility for scoping and delivering tasks or work packages
- Overseeing work undertaken by junior colleagues, providing guidance and conducting technical reviews / quality assurance
- Acting as assistant project manager on projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to budget.
- Applying strong analytical skills to critically evaluate and analyse data to provide robust recommendations. This will include numerical data, geographical data and qualitative data.
- Supporting with, or leading, the preparation of bids, fee proposals and project programmes.
- Working at both strategic and detailed levels with strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to communicate confidently with clients, stakeholders and team members.
- Actively managing and leading efforts to build and maintain collaborative, cooperative, and harmonious working relationships with both clients and colleagues. Working as part of a team, sharing knowledge and supporting the growth of the Future Mobility offer.
- Supporting capability‑building within WSP’s Global Capability Centre (GCC), including knowledge sharing, development of good practice, and strengthening consistency in Future of Mobility delivery across UK and India teams.
- Overseeing work undertaken by junior colleagues, providing guidance and conducting technical reviews / quality assurance

- Excellent at report writing, being able to develop concise and impact reports, delivering a high-quality output using your attention to detail, and grammatical and presentation skills
- Responsive and agile, when asked to deliver a task you will ask for the details needed, adapting to changing priorities and raising concerns early.
An interest or experience in the intersection between Future Mobility and sustainability, including areas such as ESG, inclusive growth and social value.
