Senior HVAC Engineer

General, Compliance and ManufacturingSupport Responsibilities

● Operation and maintenance ofHVAC in GMP and non-GMP areas include Air- Handling-Unit (AHU), cold room,freezer, fridge,Bio Safety Cabinet (BSC),Downflow Booth (DFB), isolators, pass-box, Laminar Air Flow, clean room HEPA, otherrelated chilled water and cooling water pipeline.

● Partner with shift utilitypersonnel to perform daily site walk down, logging, sample collection andanalysis.

● Monitor HVAC system performance in BMS and partner with shiftutility personnel to respond to alarm.

● Apply technical knowledge andhands-on support to carry out troubleshooting of equipment breakdown or failurerelating to HVAC, BMS and non-GMP equipment.

● Report abnormality or emergencyissue to line manager or stakeholder. Support to conduct basic frontlinetroubleshooting / investigation to resolve problem or abnormality.

● Support other engineer or in-linemanager to do deviation investigation using Fishbone Ishikawa or 5-why diagram.

● Involve in data gathering and supportengineer or in-line manager to create spare parts and consumables in Maximo.

● Support planning and communicatingwith stakeholders/vendors for the execution of maintenance or project or repairwork in compliance with safety and quality requirements.

● Partner with SEM (Calibration, CleanUtilities, Process Engineering, Validation, shift utilities) and project teamsfor excellent execution of maintenance, projects, or troubleshooting-relatedwork.

● Proactive and able to work withminimal guidance in day-to-day or maintenance work.

● Participate in handling qualityissues, such as deviation, CC, CAPA

● Support risk assessment review relatingto plant equipment maintenance or ad-hoc work. Apply engineering knowledge tosupport EHS-related safety investigations, plans, or initiatives.

● Draft SOPs, URS, or otherdocuments as required.

● Perform other tasks assigned byleadership team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NITEC or equivalent technical school or Diploma certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or Pharmaceutical Engineering,
  • Candidates with equivalent work experience in the pharmaceutical industry, GMP environment is required.
  • Ability to learn quickly, applying engineering knowledge and relevant skills to translate/simplify them into actionable steps.
  • Familiar with refrigeration systems, familiar with the principles of HVAC control
  • Display a good working attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to follow leadership directives.
  • Open to accepting temporary work assignments, including overtime on weekends or weekdays, and other roles as required.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English.
  • Able to work independently with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment.
