Senior Project Engineer, Wind Turbine Testing and Certification

Business Development

  • Drive business development in the renewable energy sector—especially wind turbine, by identifying new opportunities and building strong client relationships.
  • Promote UL Solutions’ services, tailoring proposals and presentations to customer needs.
  • Engage with regional customers to develop and maintain long‑term partnerships.

Project Management

  • Lead the end‑to‑end project management process, including scoping, cost/time estimation, execution planning, and coordination with internal technical, commercial, and legal teams.
  • Oversee project delivery to ensure timelines, quality standards, and client expectations are met.
  • Communicate closely with clients on technical requirements, UL procedures, project status, and commercial terms.
  • Address client issues, provide technical guidance, and support product testing, inspection, and follow‑up services.
  • Review documentation, verify compliance with UL requirements, and identify any deviations or changes in project scope.
  • Coordinate laboratory and administrative activities to support testing programs and reporting.
  • Prepare technical reports, follow‑up service procedures, and related documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement, develop new test methods where needed, and contribute technical expertise to industry activities and committees.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff as required.
  • Perform other relevant duties in alignment with UL’s Code of Conduct and security practices.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 6 - 8 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, preferably in wind turbine projects.
  • Proven track record in business development, sales, or marketing within renewable energy.
  • Strong project management experience with successful end‑to‑end project delivery.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Solid understanding of wind energy assessment, technologies, and industry trends.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and project management tools.
  • Strong technical knowledge and terminology relevant to the discipline.
  • Familiarity with applicable conformity standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex or non‑standard technical projects.
  • Good understanding of industry challenges, customer needs, and market dynamics.
