About the role

Oversee the management of quality control laboratory operations and lead a team of both direct and indirect reports. Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards, including GLP, GDP, cGMP, and internal quality standards. Manage all aspects of laboratory operations, focusing on analytical testing and equipment systems.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the management of quality control laboratory operations and lead a team of both direct and indirect reports

• Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards, including GLP, GDP, cGMP, and internal quality standards

• Manage all aspects of laboratory operations, focusing on analytical testing and equipment systems

• Provide quality control expertise and support to cross-functional teams, including Production and Supply Chain

• Spearhead Analytical Method Transfer (AMTE) and method validation initiatives

• Implement continuous improvement strategies encompassing RFT, SPC, and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies

• Oversee the laboratory budget and capital expenditure (CAPEX) planning

• Promote adherence to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards while fostering a safety-first culture

• Support regulatory reporting and oversee stability programs

• Serve as a role model for compliance and instill a quality-oriented culture within the team

About you

• A degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Microbiology, or a related field

• 8–10+ years of experience in quality control within the pharmaceutical or applicable industries

• At least 5 years of leadership experience in managing teams

• Proficient in analytical chemistry and method validation

• Knowledgeable in laboratory systems, including LIMS, HPLC, GC, and Empower

• Familiarity with cGMP, GLP, and data integrity principles

• Strong leadership skills and experience in team development

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities

• Proficient in stakeholder management and effective communication

• Possess operational and business acumen, with a continuous improvement mindset
