Senior Specialist, Data Product Owner F/T

Overview
Oversee the entire lifecycle of data products, from ideation through deployment and ongoing maintenance, ensuring that data meet the evolving needs of the business and comply with relevant privacy and data regulations.

Role.
• Responsible for collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders, including Product Manager, UX designer, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Front/Back End Engineers to gather and document precise requirements for data products.
• Support Analytics Team Director in managing a comprehensive roadmap that outlines timelines for development, release, and iterative enhancements linking to business priorities and data needs.
• Maintain prioritized backlog through feature analysis, write user stories, and collaborate with Datawarehouse Engineers to design data models that align with product objectives.
• Responsible for maintaining both technical and non-technical documentation that communicates the value and functionality of the data products to various audiences.
• Drive the automation of data collection processes with Datawarehouse Team to improve efficiency and accuracy in data ingestion.
• Oversee the validation of ingested data to maintain high quality standards and reliability.
• Validate the weekly progress of the technical teams and lead business user tests, ensuring product quality before the product gets into the hands of the internal customer.
• Create and package manual and automated reports for various stakeholders via Tableau dashboards, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Analyze and interpret data to provide insights to Business Teams addressing trends and issues.
• Analyze and report product funnel data to address abandonment issues and opportunities for improving conversion.

About You
• Position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related and three (3) years of experience in job offered or as a Database Administrator, Data Analysts, Business Analyst, Management Systems Auditor, Programmer Analyst, or related.
• Qualifying experience must include at least three (3) years with each of the following: Product Management; SQL querying and database design (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL); ETL concepts and tools (e.g. Hadoop Data Warehouse, Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS BI and Analytics, SQL Server, AWS Redshift, Tera Data SQL, AWS Athena, Hue); Web Analytics Tools (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, or similar); Data Visualization Tools (Tableau, Domo, Tableau Prep Builder or similar); Data warehousing: data warehouse architecture and data modeling concepts.
• Rate of pay: $169,000 – $265,000 /year

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay Ranges

New York City, New York: $125,000 - $212,000 USD
