Software Engineer – Frontend & Mobile

You will design and build advanced iOS and Android applications using React Native, write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, and ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and ship features, identify and fix bugs and bottlenecks, participate in code reviews, evaluate and adopt new technologies, and mentor peers through code reviews and best-practice education. This role requires full-time onsite presence in San Francisco.

Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced applications for iOS and Android using React Native
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand and refine product requirements
• Provide mentorship to peers through code reviews and education on best practices

Requirements

• At least 3 years of proven experience in mobile or web application development
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and related technologies (ES6, TypeScript)
• Solid understanding of the full mobile or web development life cycle
• Knowledge of UI/UX standards and mobile design principles
• Experience with SQL databases like MySQL or Postgres
• Confident with RESTful API design
• Great with unit and functional testing and debugging
• Experience in Git/GitHub and branching methodologies, code review tools, CI tools
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied mathematics, or another technical discipline from a top university
• Understanding of and strong interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain
• Great at algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with native mobile development (iOS/Android) or React Native (preferred)
• Understanding of and experience working in the financial industry (preferred)
• Familiarity with digital wallets, clearing and settlement, lending, trading, or accounting systems (preferred)
