Spa Therapist
Operational Supervision & Quality Assurance:
- Deliver a full range of spa treatments including massages, facials, body therapies, and wellness rituals in accordance with approved protocols.
- Ensure treatment rooms are prepared, sanitized, and set up to the highest standards prior to each service.
- Maintain proper handling, storage, and usage of spa products, linens, and equipment.
- Ensure all equipment is clean, safe, and functioning, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to treatment standards, timing, and service quality benchmarks.
Guest Experience & Service Excellence:
- Provide personalized and professional spa experiences aligned with Raffles emotional luxury and Fairmont service excellence.
- Conduct guest consultations to understand preferences, health conditions, and wellness goals.
- Ensure every treatment reflects attention to detail, comfort, and relaxation.
- Maintain a calm, discreet, and welcoming presence throughout the guest journey.
- Address guest feedback or concerns promptly and support service recovery where required.
Team Collaboration & Support:
- Work collaboratively with wellness curators, fitness instructors, and spa team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Participate in daily briefings to stay informed on guest profiles, VIP arrivals, and operational priorities.
- Support team members during peak periods to maintain smooth operations.
- Contribute to a positive team environment focused on excellence and professionalism.
Coordination & Communication:
- Coordinate with Spa Reception and relevant departments to ensure accurate scheduling and guest readiness.
- Communicate guest preferences, special requirements, and feedback effectively.
- Assist in preparing for special wellness experiences, packages, and guest requests.
Commercial & Financial Performance:
- Promote and recommend spa treatments, wellness programs, and retail products suited to guest needs.
- Support upselling and cross-selling opportunities to enhance guest experience and revenue.
- Ensure accurate recording of treatments and adherence to billing procedures.
- Contribute to achieving departmental revenue and guest satisfaction targets.
Standards, Safety & Compliance:
- Maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, grooming, and professional presentation.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Follow all sanitation procedures and infection control standards.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding guest information and treatment details.
- Support sustainability initiatives and environmentally responsible practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Spa Therapist in a luxury or five-star hotel or spa environment.
- Recognized certification in Massage Therapy, Beauty Therapy, or Spa Treatments.
- Knowledge of various treatment techniques (e.g., Swedish, Deep Tissue, Aromatherapy, Facials).
- Additional certifications in specialized treatments are an advantage.
- Pre-opening experience is a plus.
