Structure Engineer

Primary Responsibilities 主要职责：

• Develop and deliver structural system designs, including layouts, detailed drawings, and material specifications, ensuring compliance with project requirements and applicable standards.
• Review calculations, such as load analysis, stress analysis, fatigue, and stability checks, to ensure structural integrity and safety.
• Generate and maintain structural deliverables, including general arrangement drawings, connection details, material take-offs (MTOs), and fabrication drawings.
• Provide technical support to the engineering team, ensuring alignment with project objectives and resolving design-related issues.
• Assist in the selection of structural materials and components, considering cost, availability, and project constraints.
• Support sales and procurement activities by providing technical input on structural systems and equipment.
• Collaborate with other disciplines (e.g., piping, mechanical, process) to ensure structural designs are fully integrated and meet project requirements.
• Address and resolve interface issues to avoid rework and ensure smooth project execution.
• Participate in design reviews, and constructability reviews, implementing feedback and lessons learned.
• Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, and commissioning of structural systems, ensuring compliance with design intent and addressing site queries.
• Conduct inspections and reviews at fabrication yards and construction sites to verify quality and adherence to specifications.
• Ensure compliance with international standards and regulations (e.g., API RP 2A, ISO 19902, DNV-ST-N001, NORSOK N-004) and client specifications.
• Address and resolve site design queries, ensuring timely responses to avoid delays in construction and commissioning.
• Participate in 3D model reviews, ensuring structural designs are clash-free and meet project requirements.
• Ensure proper documentation and handover of structural deliverables, including as-built drawings.

Qualifications/ Requirements 任职要求:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5 years of experience in structural design and engineering within the offshore oil and gas industry.
• Hands-on experience with structural analysis, material selection, and fabrication techniques.
• Site and fabrication experience, including knowledge of construction and commissioning practices.
• Proficiency in structural design tools and software, such as:
• 3D modeling: Tekla, AVEVA E3D, PDMS, AutoCAD
• Structural analysis: SACS, Staad.Pro, ANSYS
• Drafting: AutoCAD
• Understanding of international structural codes and standards (e.g., API RP 2A, ISO 19902, DNV-ST-N001, NORSOK N-004).
• Knowledge of structural materials, welding, and fabrication techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to travel to fabrication yards and construction sites as required.
