Supervisory Interdisciplinary

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as Chief, Construction Support Section, responsible for supervising and personally performing the full range of construction support and contract administration duties in support of the District's Construction program.

Responsible for full range of construction support and construction contract administration duties.

Perform biddability and constructability reviews of plans and specifications for various programs including MILCON, Civil Works, and other projects.

Maintain surveillance over work progress, problems encountered, and action taken, and ensure schedules are met.

Perform periodic interim and final on-site project inspections of projects.

Maintain overall technical responsibility and accountability for the technical adequacy of the work of the Section.

Exercise technical and administrative supervision over a staff of engineering, technical and office support personnel.

Define and justify needs and requirements, including manpower, equipment, travel and training.
