SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (SHIPS)

You will serve as a Supervisory Production Controller (Ships) / Scheduling & Analytics Branch Manager in the Business & Financial Division of the Operations Department of PSNS and IMF.

You will be responsible for the development of nuclear and non-nuclear technical work sequences and the optimization of these work sequences for the department.

You will be responsible for the development of preliminary schedules for the definition of management strategy for an availability through detailed scheduling of key operations and shift-by-shift work sequencing for current availabilities.

You will oversee the preparation nuclear and non-nuclear work and test schedules and Critical Path Method (CPM) networks for nuclear and non-nuclear submarines, surface ships and service craft.

You will be responsible for the upgrading and maintenance of the scheduling systems and methods used in the shipyard for scheduling availabilities.

You will direct the efforts of subordinate supervisors in order to avoid scheduling events on one or more projects that conflict with events on other projects.

You will conduct reviews of schedule adherence on complicated availabilities and makes recommendations to correct causes of departures from schedules.

You will develop standard schedules for repeat type manufacturing, repair and alteration work items.

You will develop standard sequences for accomplishing productive work and testing by type of ship and type of availability for use in scheduling.

You will conduct scheduling conferences affecting nuclear and non-nuclear work and testing.
