WORKPLACE SAFETY HEALTH OFFICER
Job Summary
Lead the implementation and monitoring of Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) and Environment Management Systems at work sites to ensure compliance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement in health and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor Workplace Safety & Health and Environment Management Systems across work sites to maintain safe working conditions
- Conduct regular WSH inspections and execute follow-up actions to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Review, update, and communicate Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations to all relevant stakeholders
- Ensure the company meets all statutory obligations related to health, safety, and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting requirements
- Complete and regularly review risk assessments for all work equipment and operations to identify and mitigate hazards
- Document and investigate all accidents, recommending and implementing improvements to prevent recurrence
- Coordinate the development and continuous improvement of health & safety policies, systems of work, and procedures
- Inspect project sites to verify that safety measures are consistently implemented and maintained
Required competencies and certifications
- Possess relevant safety certificates such as Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety Level C and Health, Safety Officer's Course or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of practicing Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) in facilities management or a similar industry
- Familiarity with ISO45001 standards
