WSH Coordinator

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Responsible for coordinating health & safety systems in the organisation;
  2. Conduct periodic inspections to ensure that the implemented risk control measures are being observed and practised;
  3. Investigate and report WSH incidents & coordinate implementation of emergency preparedness and response plans;
  4. Required to work on-site in his course of work;
  5. WSH Coordinator is practical and meticulous, required to observe safety hazards and deal in a prompt and decisive manner;
  6. Deploy workplace safety and health (WSH) programmes;
  7. Manage WSH performance;
  8. Manage business continuity;
  9. Develop workplace safety and health management systems
  10. Assist the management in environmental, health & safety promotion to promote awareness among workers;
  11. Under the WSH Act, employees have a duty to keep their workplace and colleagues safe:
  • Cooperate with employers and follow safety and health procedure;
  • Report unsafe acts and incidents;
  • Do not tamper with safety devices or perform wilful or reckless acts; and

12. Be responsible for any other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time as your superior or management deem fit.

REQUIREMENT

  • Possess Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B)
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience preferably in Construction field
  • Strong knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health Act
  • Proficiency in Microsoft (Words, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Preferably with driving / motorbike riding licence and possess own vehicle
  • Able to commit to rotating shift work, 12 hours Work 4 Days Rest 3 Days.
