EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D2225P01 and is part of the CO 140 CES, National Guard.

The primary purpose of this position is to develop, review, coordinate and execute the wing's Emergency Management (EM) program plan in support of DOD, Joint Service, Air Force, MAJCOM, ANG, Numbered Air Force, federal, state, and county plans in the area(s) of Prevention, Protection, Mitigation, Response, and Recovery. The position develops, manages and executes the wing EM programs, ensuring effective prevention, protection, mitigation, response, and recovery operations to allow continued mission capability at the wing level. Develops, coordinates, obtains approval, and publishes plans and procedures for implementation of wing policies and instructions relating to Emergency Management (EM). Conducts wing EM assessments; interprets and analyzes assessment results. Conducts initial and recurring training programs for EM functional areas. Serves as Emergency Operations Center Manager under the direction of the EOC Director. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Performs other duties as assigned
