OTC Trader
You will facilitate hedging of institutional client flows, execute electronic and voice trades, and manage principal trading exposures within defined risk limits. You will build and optimize pricing and risk models and governing controls, automate manual tasks (using Python when needed), and help prioritize trading technology improvements. You will monitor market narratives, contribute research perspectives, inform new product capabilities, respond immediately to changing exposures and client requests (including rotations on weekends and off-hours), and mentor junior colleagues while sharing knowledge across stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate hedging of client flows
- Manage principal trading exposures within company risk appetite
- Provide white glove client service to increase share of wallet
- Identify profitable price gaps and protect assets from volatility and automated traders
- Execute both electronic and voice trading
- Automate manual tasks using Python as needed
- Build and optimize pricing models, risk models, and governing controls
- Increase automation to streamline trading workflows
- Monitor market narratives and contribute to internal research
- Inform development of new trading products and capabilities
- Respond immediately to changing exposures and client requests, including rotations on weekends and off-hours
- Share knowledge and mentor junior team members
Requirements
- 5+ years experience as an OTC trader in the cryptocurrency space
- Deep crypto market microstructure expertise
- Expert knowledge of electronic and voice trading
- Strong client-facing abilities and institutional sales experience
- Demonstrated ability to convert institutional prospects into trading clients
- Comfort using Python to automate and modify existing code
