Practical Nurse

About the Position: This position is located at Fort Hood, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Obtain and document medical complaint and taking vital signs, EKG, Ankle-Brachial Index, and Pulmonary Function Testing as indicated.

Complete appropriate records and reports, as well as support the goals and mission of the Cardiology and Pulmonary Services.

Assist with a variety of diagnostic procedures such as Bronchoscopies, Pleural catheter and chest tube placements, Fluoroscopies and Ultrasound

Monitor patients during and after sedation.

Teach patients and family members on the use of prescribed medications and direct them to the hospital in case of an emergency.

Prepare allergy testing vials for performance of intradermal testing (IDT).
