Procurement Manager (Data Centers)
You will lead the owner‑furnished procurement program for large‑scale data center development. You will plan procurement requirements, develop sourcing strategies, run competitive RFPs/RFQs, negotiate contracts, and manage purchase orders and deliveries of long‑lead equipment. You will monitor supplier performance, track risks to schedule and cost, maintain procurement documentation and reporting, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Define procurement requirements and plan sourcing strategies
- Translate technical specifications into scopes of work and procurement schedules
- Lead vendor prequalification and competitive sourcing events
- Develop and manage RFP and RFQ processes
- Analyze bids and perform total cost of ownership evaluations
- Negotiate pricing delivery schedules risk allocations and commercial terms
- Support contract drafting and manage purchase orders change orders and amendments
- Monitor production logistics and delivery of long‑lead equipment
- Track supplier capacity manufacturing constraints and market conditions
- Onboard suppliers evaluate performance and track KPI and SLA metrics
- Maintain procurement documentation commercial logs delivery trackers and risk registers
- Prepare recurring reporting on cost lead times supplier performance and procurement milestones
- Ensure compliance with procure‑to‑pay policies internal controls and audit requirements
- Identify and implement procurement process improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management procurement engineering project management or related field
- 2+ years of procurement experience supporting hyperscale hardware energy utilities industrial or mission‑critical construction projects
- Experience purchasing long‑lead equipment such as electrical gear mechanical systems generators switchgear and cooling systems
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex technical and schedule‑critical contracts
- Strong understanding of procurement best practices including competitive sourcing bid evaluation supplier performance metrics and RFP development
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Customer‑service orientation and ability to partner with internal stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment
- Experience with procure‑to‑pay systems such as Ramp Workday Coupa or SAP Ariba (preferred)
- Professional certifications such as ASCM CSCP or PMP (preferred)
