Summary of the Role
The Sales Specialist role is responsible for creating and winning sales opportunities for all the Terumo Interventional Radiology Products & Terumo Endovascular Products, solutions and services in an assigned territory, and/or in a list of named accounts individually or as part of Terumo Marketing Phils, Inc Commercial team. The Sales Specialist provides field support for the portfolio and uses the customer and competitor clinical knowledge gained from those interactions to adapt and execute the product marketing plan accordingly. These sales and profit plan objectives are achieved whilst working within the framework of contributing to society through healthcare and all Terumo Corporation social and ethical guidelines.
Key Functions / Responsibilities
1. Achieve annual territory sales target by implementing company approved strategic marketing and sales plans.
Regular reviewing of sales dashboards and preparation of monthly/quarterly sales reports, sales forecast, and other reports to ensure sales achievements are on track
Building new and maintaining existing strategic relationships with key clients, key decision makers, KOLs by making periodic visits for new opportunities and gain commitment to purchase
Continuously identifying prospective customers and represent Terumo in the best possible light for potential sales conversion.
Understanding the customer's objectives, buying criteria and decision-making processes, and forming long term business partnerships
2. Clinical Function
Building strong clinical relationships with customers by presenting the clinical value proposition of Terumo Interventional Radiology & Terumo Endovascular products and solutions
Demonstrating full knowledge of all products, relevant selling points and benefits, overcome client objections and continuously improve these skills
Effectively driving effective selling process and sales monitoring by conducting product demonstrations (where applicable) and providing clinical training
Ad-hoc Support Cases for Femoral Closure, Lower-Limb Angioplasty, & Embolization procedures
3. Support Function
Supporting Sales Manager to work closely with the Regional Marketing team on execution of events and activities for customers
Keeping abreast of the competitor activity to recommend necessary tactical action for new opportunities
4. Consignment Inventory & Billing Management
Perform Consignment stock take in assigned territory
Initiate daily top up process through 3PL distributor
Monitor daily usage and work on billing process
Perform consignment rotation and minimize discrepancies
5. Others
Attend company meetings
Attend and participate company event/activities
Comply to company policies
6. All other duties as required
Education & Experience
Qualifications suitable for the role, for example, health sciences or nursing
1-2 years’ experience in field of intervention cardiology/Radiology & Aortic products will be an advantage
Prior sales, product & clinical experience in a similar position required
Outstanding influencing, interpersonal and networking skills to drive successful relationship building
Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships in the assigned accounts/area
Experience with needs assessment, instructional design, curriculum development, delivery and program coordination.
Strong critical thinking, communication skill, analytical skills, clinical skill & presentation skill
Self-starter with strong results orientation and success in moving business toward long-term goals
