Senior Engineer - Process

As a Senior/Principal Engineer, you'll provide technical leadership and guidance to a team in the delivery of large / complex, water treatment and water network projects, ensuring accurate and efficient project delivery for internal and external clients. Wastewater experience will also be considered.

The role will enable you to further develop and use your technical skills, applying your expertise to help us continue driving forward in terms of both technical quality and service efficiency.

  • Leading technical design delivery and providing technical guidance to the project team;
  • Client liaison and report preparation;
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals within current frameworks and the development of additional clients;
  • Lead on Stakeholder engagement and identify and support in securing potential business development opportunities;
  • Training and mentoring of staff, especially more junior staff;
  • Develop and maintain project related health and safety strategies, including risk assessments; and
  • Operate in accordance with the corporate health and safety, environment and quality standards and ensure the project team comply with such standards.
  • Contribute to task and resource requirements across the wider team and ensure delivery;
  • Working with, and providing support to, our project management team;
  • Potential for line management responsibilities, supporting recruitment activities;
  • Raise the profile of the company through attendance and presentations at technical and commercial conferences, preparation of papers and press releases; and Work may require travel to the offices and project sites.
  • Excellent command of written and verbal English.
  • Technical understanding of Water Industry standards.
  • Problem-solving skills and originality.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Relevant degree and professional qualification (IChemE or equivalent).
  • Experience in water treatment and water network schemes.
  • Deliver process engineering and design solutions.
  • Ensure technical excellence in process engineering and design.
  • Experience with offshore resourcing for project delivery.
  • Good presentation and communication skills in English.
  • Initiative in technical matters and mentoring team members.
  • Willingness to push technical boundaries.
