As a Senior Human Resources Specialist, you will perform a full range of recruitment activities to include, screening and referring qualified applicants to hiring officials; interpreting and explaining policies, procedures, laws, and regulations; and processing a wide range of personnel actions..
Use tact, diplomacy, and patience when communicating and dealing with others.
Advise management on a wide range of staffing and recruitment matters including strategic hiring authorities, various incentive programs, and HR systems.
Perform a full range of recruitment and placement activities in support of management's goal to identify, attract, and retain a high quality and diverse workforce that is capable of accomplishing the agency's mission.
Performs internal and external placement duties including conducting job analysis; drafting and preparing job opportunity announcement(s)' evaluating, rating, and ranking applicants; and adjudicating veteran's preference.
Conduct regular trainings with both internal and external customers in on-on-one, small group, and large group formats (e.g., New Hire Training program) on a wide range of staffing matters.
Provide team support on various recruitment efforts.

Residency Requirement: There is a residency requirement for all applicants not currently employed by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. This residency requirement states that candidates must have, for three of the last five years immediately prior to applying for this position; (1) resided in the United States; OR (2) worked for the United States Government as an employee overseas in a Federal or Military capacity, OR (3) been a dependent of a U.S. Federal or Military employee serving overseas. Probationary Period: You may be required to serve a probationary period of 1 year.
