WSH Coordinator (Tunnel)

Job Summary

You will ensure operational compliance with safety regulations and implement effective safety measures to maintain a secure work environment in tunneling construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operations comply with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) and Environmental Control regulations and statutory requirements
• Implement, monitor, and maintain safety measures aligned with the Workplace Health and Safety Act to prevent workplace hazards
• Enforce all safety requirements and internal safety rules to uphold a safe working environment
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify safety risks and execute corrective actions promptly
• Deliver safety awareness training, programs, and initiatives to educate and engage employees on safe practices
• Compile and maintain accurate safety reports, records, and conduct daily safety inspections to track compliance
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned to support safety and operational objectives

Required competencies and certifications

• Possess relevant safety certification such as Advanced Certificate in WSH
• Minimum 3 years of tunneling experience in the construction industry
• Familiarity with statutory requirements related to the WSH Act and other safety regulations
• Availability to work 6 days a week, including weekends and public holidays when required

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in tunneling projects, preferably MRT projects, is highly advantageous
